The Inspiration
Rome's climate is mild almost all year round, which is why it's not uncommon to find balconies and courtyards with spring-like blooms even in autumn, such as those of the Ipomee (Morning Glory).
Luxuriant to the point of being invasive, these plants are characterized by dense evergreen foliage and a large, bell-shaped flower, both modest and showy, in shades of pink and blue.
In short, the Morning Glory doesn't like to go unnoticed.
Feeling akin to its nature, I decided to give it a space within my creative flow, and from the contemplation of its forms, Gisella was born – a chemisier design inspired by the Morning Glory flower and its sinuosity.
The Model
Elegant and unconventional, Gisella is a garment that can surprise. Seemingly chaste with its mandarin collar, long raglan sleeve gathered at the wrist, and frock coat silhouette that flares out at the bottom in a volume similar to a swing dress, this model reinterprets the concept of sensuality we are used to and elevates it to another level, made of pure lines and sophisticated fluidity. It needs nothing to be enhanced; whether with a chic updo or messy hair, barefoot or with jeweled shoes, wear it with your head held high and proclaim your non-stereotypical charm to the world.
